On the latest episode of the Zoinkies! podcast, I did something a little different. Instead of diving into retro pop culture or regular stuff, I took a personal trip down memory lane. Literally.
September 2 has come and gone many times over the years, but I decided to make this one special. Scrolling back, I found sunrise photos from years past—most taken right here in Enid, Oklahoma. Some brighter than others. All meaningful.

Yep, Smalls is back. My wild squirrel buddy stars in a throwback video where I hand-feed him like we’ve known each other for years. It’s these quirky moments that remind me just how fun it is to lean into the little things that make life… well, Zoinkies!
📣 Piper on Pom – High School to OU
One of the biggest joys that kept showing up in my memories? My daughter Piper. From high school pom squad posts to dancing on the field for OU, she’s been a bright, beaming part of my journey. I share a few proud dad moments in this episode and talk about how watching your kids grow is like flipping through your own life in fast forward.
🏈 OU Game Days & Norman Nostalgia
Speaking of OU, there were also plenty of posts from football games in Norman—tailgates, touchdowns, and terrific memories. If you’ve ever stood in that stadium when the band plays “Boomer Sooner,” you know exactly the kind of energy I’m talking about.

Mixed in with all the personal posts was a throwback to a trip to Lake Granbury with the PettyJohns. Warm sun, cold drinks, and the kind of laughter that only happens when you’re surrounded by good people.
