Winks From The Universe

I’ve had lots of synchronicities happen to me over the last couple of years and after a while I forget exactly what they all were. So! In 2024 I have decided to do a blog post and document all of the things I call synchronicities.

This post will be continuously updated throughout the year as things happen. I whole heartedly believe there are forces and influences on our lives that come from places we do not understand.

I love these explanations of what a synchronicity is:

1. Synchronicities suggest that there is more to the world than what can be seen with our physical senses, and that the universe can communicate with us through intuition, feelings, signs, and coincidences. Carl Jung believed that one’s thoughts and feelings have the power to affect the course of one’s life.

2. In psychology, synchronicity is defined as the occurrence of meaningful coincidences that seem to have no cause; that is, the coincidences are acausal. The underlying idea is that there is unity in diversity.

3. Synchronicity is a phenomenon in which people interpret two separate—and seemingly unrelated—experiences as being meaningfully intertwined, even though there is no evidence that one led to the other or that the two events are linked in any other causal way.

Here is my list of 2024 Synchronicities or Winks from the Universe:

1. I was in Will Rogers World Airport in OKC at 4:30am in the morning. We were on our way to Orlando, Florida. I decided to take a selfie and post it on social media to show what an early adventure we were about embark on. I snapped a pic and posted it. Not 10 minutes a later a lady walks up beside me and says she just wanted to say hi. We were friends on Facebook but didn’t know each other personally. She had seen my post and realized we were both at the airport. She looked at the photo and I was just two rows over from her. She was looking at the lady that was sitting behind me in the photo and knew we were at the same terminal.

2. While in San Antonio I was walking near the Alamo when a guy dressed like a monk stopped me and put a bracelet on my wrist. I normally don’t stop for panhandling and things like that but for this guy I decided to stop. He held up a second bracelet indicating it was for my wife. I also accepted that bracelet. He opened a book which showed signatures with dollar amounts like $20, $40 and more. I had $5 in my pocket and offered that to the monk. He did not seem completely enthused but I repeated that was all I had. He took the money and went n his way.

A couple of nights later we ended up at a table with people from Oklahoma next to us. We started talking and eventually I noticed one of the women in the group had on the exact same bracelet as I had. I started laughing and showed her my bracelet. She laughed and I asked her how much the monk had gotten her for. She said $20 and really started laughing. She pointed to another one of the ladies at the table and said that she had given the monk $40. She was not very happy she she heard I only gave $5. It was a great conversation started and funny that we all had the bracelets on.

That was not the end of the bracelet story! My family and I then went to Orlando for another trip. While flying back on the airplane I had been dozing off with my head on my arm. This had caused my sleeve to go up and exposed my bracelets. In mid-flight I was tapped on the shoulder. I looked back at a guy one row behind me and on the other side of the aisle. He showed me his identical bracelets and asked where I had gotten mine. I told him San Antonion and found out he had gotten his in New Orleans. I asked how much they had got him for and he said $40. What are the odds?

3. Every morning while out on my seven mile trek I do some meditating and manifesting. In early 2024 I decided to manifest more collaborations and partnerships in the things I have been doing. I manifest good vibrations and energy and ask for that in return from other good energy people. This morning I received a message out of the blue. My old radio partner was asking if I wanted to get back on the radio with him to do a morning show! I had lunch with him and the station manager. They wanted the radio station to do collaboration with my company. I agreed and will be back on the radio!

4. I have decided to take up painting again. I recently purchased all of the supplies to start doing some large acrylic and watercolor paintings. I cleaned out my office to make space for the painting process. One night I was wondering where I was going to set my canvas to paint. I thought it would be good to have an easel. The next day a large easel popped up for sale on Facebook from a friend of mine. It was perfect for me and had been on sale for a few days without having sold. I told him I would purchase it. During that week I was posting old business advertisements on my community Facebook page. One of the ads I posted was for a photographer my friend and I both knew. When I went to pick up the easel my friend told me that he had purchased the easel from the estate sale of that photographer who had passed away.

5. My synchronicities seemed to be slowing down so this last week while on my morning trek I decided to manifest and see if I could get a signal from “the other side”, as they say. I manifested that if there was energy out there from my mom that she should try and let me know through a sign. I decided to ask that she show me by using turtles. When I was a kid I loved to catch turtles and play with them. I was always asking my mom to draw me turtle pictures and it became a thing with us.

It wasn’t long before that all-knowing Facebook started showing me an ad for a tiny glass turtle that you could buy. I wasn’t going to include that as a sign since Facebook can read my mind anyway. But! This morning on the trail something happened. It is winter right now and cold even though today is March 1. We did have a couple of days where it warmed up but it’s been pretty cold. In the winter you rarely if ever see a turtle.

While on my trek this morning I passed an object close to the trail that caught my eye. I thought to myself did I just see what I thought I saw. I stopped and went back a few steps. Right there is the mud was a smashed turtle. You could see the shell and body along with the tire tracks where a big construction vehicle had run over it. I rarely see many turtles on the trail but pretty much never in winter. I’m taking it as a sign that our energy stays out there and never goes away. Hopefully I’ll run into more turtle signs throughout the year.

6. I do understand the difference between a coincidence and a synchronicity. This weekend I experienced a pretty good coincidence. It happened on our trip in OKC at the Skirvin Hotel. I was in the lobby waiting on the valet to get our car. There was another gentleman waiting next to me. At the last minute that morning, I had decided to wear an Enid t-shirt that I had printed. The point of wearing the t-shirt on trips was to let people know we were from Enid in case they had some connection as well.

While I was standing there my buddy Stayton came down to get his car. We had all spent the weekend together but had not spoken with each other that morning. I looked at him and he had the exact same t-shirt on but in another color! Neither one of us had know the other had picked that shirt to wear. But! That’s not even the coincidence!

The guy who had been randomly waiting next to me asked me, “Are you from Enid?” I said, “Yes!” He responded, “How long have you lived there?” I said, “Pretty much most of my life.” He then starting talking about someone from Enid that we both might know. He asked, “Do you know Greg Evans?” LOL. Well, if you don’t know, Greg Evans just happens to be my brother-in-law.

“Yes, I do,” I said, “and that’s his sister right over there.” Denise has near getting a drink. I told the guy that I was married to Greg’s sister and that I used to work for his dad, Jim Evans. Come to find out, this guy was Greg’s roommate in college in 1983!

I got his information and said we would get it to Greg. Now that’s what I call a coincidence!!

7. So far there have been a few synchronicities and coincidences. My latest wink from the Universe is actually a manifestation. I manifest several things every morning while I’m out exercising and meditating on the trail. One of the things I’ve been trying to manifest this year was an unexpected surprise amount of money. I did not set an amount but I was asking for something above the norm in the amount. I have manifested unexpected money before and it has worked twice.

I believe my manifestation worked recently when I completed a project I was working on. Initially I was told I would be getting $1,500 for this project. Then I was contacted by a second party also included in the project and was told the amount was $1,000. I was good with either amount since I had not been expecting to even be paid. After finishing the project and signing the paperwork I was informed the amount I was being paid was $2,000! That’s a manifestation of $1,000 or $500 depending on how you look at it.

8. Whelp! Here’s another money one for April. I’ve been manifesting that I’d get another unexpected, surprise amount of money. I also manifested that I would do a collaboration with someone soon. I’ve been thinking of teaming up with someone to help expand one of my businesses.

This morning after getting off the trail I got a text from a guy I work with every now and then but I have not heard from him in a while. He noticed a traveling business was in town that we had done business with last year. I had not planned on contacting them for any advertising this year. We worked a deal last year based on a payment for every person that used their service.

My cohort asked if I wanted to do another deal with them. I figured what the heck and told him to ask and if they’d do it I was good to go. Within an hour he called and they wanted to do some promotions again this year but instead of tracking each person he just wanted to pay up front what we made last year. So we had an instant $2400 which we split 50/50. That was my surprise, unexpected money.

We were on the phone later in the day talking about our businesses and he asked if I wanted to help him with one of his online ventures. I told him I might and that I was thinking of starting some new ventures as well and also was looking for ideas to expand my existing business. He said he would love to sit down and discuss some automation that would make both companies run better. There was my collaboration. Funny how that works.

9. Wow! It’s November already! I’ve gotten busy and have been spending time on the trail creating videos and taking pics. I have not been manifesting as much lately and have not been trying to observe synchronicities. This week I decided I would try and manifest some money since I had not been conjuring up anything lately. I told the universe I wanted an unexpected amount of money this week that I was totally not aware of. Guess what? It already happened! I received an email from Facebook today saying I had earned $453.

I was confused and couldn’t figure out where it came from. I do received around $50 a month from subscriptions and followers sending stars. What I had forgotten about is that I had decided to turn on monetization for my Enid Buzz Facebook page. I never thought it would make much money so I hadn’t enabled it when I would get the emails saying I was qualified to turn it on.

I turned it on in October and my first month payment will be $453! Who would have thunk? Start manifesting!
